Day 01

routeRoute :   Airport > Negombo

Arrival at the Katunayake Bandaranaike airport(BIA) and meet our representative in the airport. Travel to your first destination in your holiday in Sri Lanka, Negombo one of the best coastal cities in Sri Lanka. At Negombo visit fish market & Dutch cemetry.

Negombo

Negombo is a lively city, and very strongly influenced by the Catholic Church. This city has a rich testimony of the past. Portuguese churches, a legacy of ancient history, scattered here and there is a tropical vegetation in Negambo, a smal village of fishermen who live to the rhythm of the winds and the sea. Here you can visit the fish market and also do a boat trip on the Dutch canal.

Day 02

routeRoute:   Negombo > Pinnawala

After breakfast, head to Pinnawala Elephant orphanage. Along the way stop by the Saradiyel Mountain to go on a hiking expedition enjoying the nature and the refreshing air.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, situated about 90KM away from Colombo. Be there at the right time to see specially elephant bathing time & their feeding time of baby elephants. It is a unique place to observe and approach elephants.

routeRoute :   Pinnawala > Kithulgala

Get ready to experience an extreme whitewater-rafting adventure in Kithulgala after visiting the film set of David Leans’s Acadamy- award-winning film ‘The Bridge on the River Kwai’. At Kithulgala, paddle with the wild water rapids to quench your lust for adventures.

Kithulgala

Kitulgala is the adrenalin-sports capital of Sri Lanka. For the moment most visitors are the young and energetic of Colombo, but more and more foreign visitors are starting to discover the delights of white-water rafting, jungle trekking, bird watching and cave exploration. The town’s other main claim to fame is that David Lean filmed his 1957 Oscar-winning epic Bridge on the River Kwai here.

Day 04

route Village Tour  

Today, get a sneak peek at the life of early men’s in Sri Lanka with a visit to the Belilena (a prehistoric cave where historical evidence has been found and confirmed of the earliest human beings’ existence). Later in the day, enjoy a catamaran ride across the river to explore the village and paddy fields on the other side. Overnight stay in Kithulgala.

Day 05

routeRoute :  Kitulgala > Laxapana

AAfter breakfast return to the Kitulgala Main, using a suspension bridge to cross the river. Then head to Laxapana and join a hike to the 7th Virgins mountains range and witness the incredible view on the top. Overnight stay near a location close to Adams peak.

Day 06

routeRoute :   Laxapana > Adams Peak > Bandarawela

Wake up before the dawn and set off to climb the Adams Peak. The hike of a lifetime will reward all your sweat and burned calories with a fascinating sunrise. Return to the hotel and leave for Bandarawela for your next exploration. Overnight stay at Bandarawela.

Day 07

routeRoute :   Bandarawela > Belhiloya

Drive off to Isalgasinna to enjoy your next hike in Sri Lanka through lush tea plantations, grassland studded with blossoms and cliffs and mountains enveloped in mist. Stay overnight in Belhiloya.

Day 08

routeRoute :   Belhiloya > Kuda Oya

After breakfast leave for a hike to visit the Lamp flame waterfalls followed by a transfer to Kuda Oya, camping site. Here one can engage in various activities, experience the local culture and stay in a local cottage surrounded by paddy fields.

Day 09

routeRoute :   Kuda Oya > Udawalawe National Park > Ratnapura

Proceed to Ratnapura, en route undertake a wildlife jeep safari at Udawalawe National park to spot wildlife in their natural habitat including elephants, leopard, wild boar and more. Then visit Sanke Pala Buddhist temple and Maha Saman Dewale. In Ratnapura visit a Gem Mine and a Gemological Museum. Overnight stay at Ratnapura.

Udawalawe

Udawalawe National Park is situated about 200 km south-east of Colombo. This national park is ideal to observe the herds of marvelous Asian elephants in their unique natural habitats. It is known that about 400 elephants in total are sustaining here while about 250 of them are considered as permanently resident. Other than the elephants, the national park provides home for many other species of mammals such as the rusty-spotted cat, fishing cat, Sri Lankan leopard etc.

Day 10

routeRoute: Ratnapura

After breakfast transfer to the starting point …………… for adrenaline rushing canoeing session. Paddle your canoe along the river to enjoy the unspoilt sights and sounds of nature and unique moments of local lifestyle of villagers including sand mining. Overnight stay at Anguruwathota.

Day 11

routeRoute: Ratnapura > Kalutara

After Breakfast proceed to Kalutara. Sign up for a boat ride along the Madu river to enjoy the mangrove setting and its resident wild animals (optional). Later in the day, visit the turtle hatchery. In the evening take a meditation session to calm your senses disconnecting from the busy city life. Overnight stay at Kalutara.
